After many months of planning The Outdoor Trust are very much looking forward to the installation of all the 63 markers for The Queen's Walkway in Windsor starting Monday 18th May.
Thanks especially to:
Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Highways Team Project Manager, Sarah Plowman, for all her hard work checking with utlity companies, land owners and traffic teams to make sure any disruption is kept to a minimum;
Contractors Murrills, who have generously dontated their expert team to help us install the markers for the whole week;
Footsure Director, Ben Gardiner, for supplying us with Amblers Safety Boots to keep us safe and comfortable throughout the week;
Our sponsors, especially Glaxo Smith Kline, The Gosling Foundation, Timur and Alfiya Kuanysheva, Claudia and David Harding and The Shanly Foundation - without whom the project would not have happened.
And, finally, to Trust Apprentice, Jake Walker, who over the last few months has provided invaluable support to help plan, map, photograph and promote The Queen's Walkway in Windsor. Do check out this video he has made, sharing what he has been up to - overseeing the making of the markers with Alan at the LEW foundry in Rochdale; supporting the finish with Tony, Pauline and the team at Photocast in Liverpool; and working with Sam Mason, Daniel Cirstocea, Aspolas Mpouras and Eugene Pirulescu from Murrills testing the drill and making it happen!
