Commonwealth Walkway

The City of Glasgow kindly offered to dedicate the first Commonwealth Walkway in advance of hosting The Commonwealth Games in 2014.   The 34km Walkway, starting at City Chambers in George Square, connects 34 of the Cities highlights including the Cathedral, Canal, Kelvin River, Botanical Gardens, Riverside Museum, House for an Art Lover, Pollok Park, Queens Park and the Games venues to the East of the City, including the new Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome.  The Walkway was officially launched in January 2018 by The Lord Provost for the City of Glasgow and Scotland's Minister for Health and Wellbeing.
