The Outdoor Trust is a registered charity creating walkways in towns and cities around the world to preserve and protect the physical and mental health of people advance their education in relation to natural and cultural heritage and promote conservation, protection and improvement of the historical and natural environment.
We are based in Gloucestershire in the United Kingdom. The Trust has a registered office at 24 Moorend Road, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, GL53 0HD. Our Company Number is 8130120 and our Charity Number is 1148702. Jim Walker is the registered Data Protection Officer for the Trust.
How the law protects you
Data protection laws state that we are only able to process personal data if we have valid reasons to do so. The basis for processing your personal data includes, but is not limited to, your consent, performance of a project, and to contact you for customer service purposes.

We receive information about you from you when you use our website, complete forms on our website, if you contact us by phone, email, live-chat or otherwise in respect of any of our projects and services. Additionally we also collect information from you when you sign up, enter a competition, promotion or survey or when you inform us of any other matter.

What type of data do we collect from you?
We collect information from you when you register on our site or within our apps, subscribe to our newsletter, respond to a survey or fill out an online form.

The app can share collected location and blue tooth data for Interest-Based Advertising: Allowing Advertisers to infer interests and serve ads to users based on their app activity and location data over time.

Who has access to your personal data?
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. Where we store your personal data
Our online presence is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to promote our organisation and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.
We follow accepted ISO standards to store and protect the personal data we collect, including the use of encryption if appropriate. All information you provide to us is stored on our secured servers within the EEA. From time to time, your information may be transferred to and stored in a country outside the EEA in relation to provision of the services. How do we protect your information?
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you access your personal information.
To prevent the collection of Location Information on iOS mobile devices, disable the location services feature on the settings of your device. To prevent the collection of Location Information on Android devices disable Bluetooth and Location.
You can opt-out from any interest-based advertising. On iOS devices, go on Settings. Privacy, Advertising and then click on "Limit Ad-tracking". On Android devices, go to Google Settings, Ads and then click on "Disable ads based on interests". When you have opted out using this setting on a device, advertisers will not use in-app information collected from that device to infer your interests or serve ads to that device that are targeted based on your inferred interests.
