Cook Islands

Commonwealth Walkway

The Cook Islands Commonwealth Walkway was drafted by the Trust in the summer of 2015.  The route is 2km connecting 15 points of significance which also represent the 15 islands in the Cook's.  The Trust gave the first marker to His Excellency Mr Tom Masters, The Queen's Representative, in 2015 and then returned during the 50th  anniversary of independence to install and launch it outside the Ministry of Justice,  where independence was signed.

The remaining 14 markers were given to Hugh Graham, President of the Cook Island Sport and National Olympic Committee, during 2016 who is now kindly overseeing their installation.

Jean Tekura Mason, Director of Cook Islands Library & Museum Society, is kindly agreeing the information content for the app that has been drafted by the Trust.
